Mexico City, September 7, 2023.- The Pokémon GO City Safari is coming to Mexico City! This celebration, which will take place on November 4 and 5, will allow Trainers to embark on a new adventure through the main historical sites and most popular areas of Mexico City while discovering exciting stories, making new friends and catching exclusive Pokémon. With the date getting closer, the Niantic team reveals new information regarding this great adventure.
During the event, Trainers with a pass will be able to equip themselves to help Professor Willow and Eevee learn more about the Pokémon that appear during the Safari. Eevee can be found wearing a Scout Hat at the start of the City Safari Special Research, which can evolve into any of its known forms without losing its Scout Hat.
On the other hand, during the Safari, some Pokémon such as Tropius, Axew, Furaiglon and Skiddo will be able to hatch from 7 km Eggs and the luckiest will be able to get it in its variocolor version.
With an entire city to explore, the Eevee Explorers timed research experience can help Trainers embark on this exciting journey through iconic locations, points of interest, and even some of the city’s favorite spots to catch different Pokémon. Additionally, if Trainers visit different locations during this investigation, they will be able to have an additional encounter with Eevee wearing a Scout Hat.
September Community Day
This September 23 from 2:00 p.m. (local time) to 5:00 p.m. (local time) is celebrated Community Day in Pokémon GO with Grubbin, the Pokémon Pupa, who will be the star of this event. With this, Trainers will have a chance to capture a Grubbin, evolve it into a Charjabug, and in turn obtain a Vikavolt, which can perform the VoltSwitch fast attack when evolved near a Magnet Lure, during the event or up to five hours after. let this end.
Trainers will be able to join the adventure and take advantage of the various bonuses that will be available during the event such as: Triple XP for catching a Pokémon, double the chance for Trainers level 31 and above to receive XL Candy when catching Pokémon, double the Candy for capturing Pokémon and many more surprises.
And that’s not all! From 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time, Charjabug will appear in four-star raids, which you can join with Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes. At the end of said raid, more Grubbin will appear for 30 minutes around the Gyms and they will have the possibility of catching him in his variocolor version.
During the Community Day in September, field research will be themed and capturing Grubbin will reward you with Stardust, Ultra Balls and much more. Trainers will be able to participate in a Timed Research between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. local time to obtain a Magnetic Lure, and can join in on the Community Day special research story: working non-stop.
